Phil Rachels - Vice President
Mr. Rachels joined Capital Advisors, Inc. in April 2010. Mr.
Rachels has been active in commercial real estate since 1996.
Mr. Rachels' experience encompasses all property types and a
wide variety of financial and ownership structures.
Prior to Capital Advisors, Mr. Rachels was the Founder of
Corinthian Real Estate Capital, a Jacksonville based mortgage
banking company. Prior to the formation of Corinthian, Mr.
Rachels worked with Walker & Dunlop in Bethesda, Maryland. While
at Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Rachels worked in the Structured
Finance, Equity and Institutional Sales Group where he focused
on assisting developers and acquirers of commercial and
multifamily real estate establish relationships with
institutional and high net worth partners. Mr. Rachels has
arranged financing and institutional equity investments totaling
more than $2.2 billion in the Washington DC metropolitan area
and other markets throughout the southeastern United States.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Rachels spent four years
at Charles E. Smith Commercial Realty in Arlington, Virginia as
senior director in retail investment sales.
Mr. Rachels graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 1989. He is
an active member of the International Council of Shopping
Centers and the Urban Land Institute.

Mike Scott - Analyst
Mr. Scott joined Capital Advisors, Inc. in October 2012. Mr. Scott is a Financial Analyst and
is responsible for production support, including preliminary underwriting, market research,
and financial analysis. Prior to joining Capital Advisors, Mr. Scott was employed by Merrill
Lynch Wealth Management where he focused on Practice Management Development. Mr.
Scott has interned at Cushman & Wakefield of Florida, HGL Properties, Inc. and Commercial
Jacksonville where he supported both office and industrial sales-brokers.
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida and a graduate of The Bolles School, Mr. Scott
obtained his MBA from University of North Florida in 2010 and his Bachelors of Business
Administration from Flagler College in 2007. While at Flagler, Mr. Scott played varsity
baseball. Mr. Scott is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of Florida.
