Gerry Cabaniss
Mr. Cabaniss joined Capital Advisors, Inc. in March of 2013 as a Vice President. Prior to joining Capital Advisors, Mr. Cabaniss was a Founder and Principal with Merchants Retail Partners, a retail focused, development, acquisition, and rehabilitation firm with in-house leasing and management.
Mr. Cabaniss spent 10 years in the Investment Department of Protective Life Insurance Company where he originated over $650 million in commercial mortgage loans.
Mr. Cabaniss is a native of Mobile, AL and a graduate of Woodberry Forest School in Virginia. He was awarded a degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 1994. Mr. Cabaniss earned his Juris Doctor degree from Emory Law School; is a licensed attorney in Alabama; and, holds a CCIM designation. He is a member of the Monday Morning Quarterback Club of Birmingham, the Birmingham Kiwanis Club, and serves on the Junior Board of the UAB School of Nursing.
